Miracles Are Happening!
Marriages are being saved. Men are getting better jobs. They are really starting to feel good about themselves. The Bible is being read more in men’s lives than ever before.
Where is all this happening? Glad you asked! It’s happening in our men’s small group. Yep, true! Men who didn’t know Jesus are coming into an intimate, personal relationship with the living, loving Lord.
Dads are getting closer to their kids. Kids are happier. Wives are happier. Where? In our men’s small group. For real!
Men who never had a close male friend before now have many close male friends. Time well spent. That’s what a men’s small group is.
Why wouldn’t any man want all of these benefits for himself? Fear of being found out. Fear that someone will find out he’s not perfect. Guess what? I haven’t met one perfect man in the 10 years I’ve spent in any small group.
Seriously, the benefits of guys meeting together weekly for friendship, fellowship, and accountability are so numerous that I probably could not list them all.
We were not used to our dads meeting in a Christian men’s small group so we may find it strange, threatening, or unnecessary. Just because we weren’t raised with Dad being in a Christian men’s small group doesn’t mean we should be deprived of awesome friendships with guys who really care and have very much in common. Of course most of us didn't realize that we weren't the only one going through this crisis- until we got together.
Jesus thought so much of Christian men’s small groups that He formed His own. You know what? If it was good enough for Jesus, it’s good enough for every man..
